Loss of 13B

...also known as the southern half of the 13 for many years; before that, the Beechwood segment and Palmerston Park segment split severally between the 13 and former route 12 (respectively).

So what do people on Palmerston Road do for transport now? Not like there,s a Luas stop at every location there used to be a bus stop on that road. They haven,t diverted any other bus down there to serve it. So, it,s either walk to the Luas station, or walk to Upper Rathmines Road for the 14A, from now on?

Choices are indeed dwindling for public transport passengers...

Certain journeys on the 14A serve Palmerston Road at the same times the 13B did... You would know that if you checked the timetables

Timetable says "Via Palmerston Park"; doesn,t say which way the buses go. For all I know, they could just swing back around on Cowper Road. The 14A doesn,t operate via Appian Way and Leeson Street, though, so Palmerston Road riders are cut off from that route.

Even the buses themselves have no sign on them as to whether or not theu are going via Palmerston Park. I would have preferred the 14 to be re-routed via Palmerston Park and Highfield Road and thence down Orwell Road. This would, inter alia, mean that St Luke's hospital would have a bus service.
