I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the 5 young girls killed in the Bus Eireann bus crash. I would like to extend this to the familys of the bereaved. Ireland is mourning

Yes, it is a terribly sad affair. I hope it does not lead to a frenzy of undeserved Bus Eireann-bashing in the media.

They,ve started already the boss of Aircoach has said he would,nt let his children travel on a 12year old bus. When he was in Bus Eireann it did,nt stop him sending other people,s children to school on even older buses .I think the best thing for him to do now is to SHUT UP.

Sorry should,nt have said that but I hate to see people trying to profit from from other people,s mis-fortunes can he not just let those people who lost loved ones grieve without trying to score point,s

Yeah, sympathies to the families of the victims. Howevery, since we can't reawaken the dead, I'd say we should concentrate on making sure this never happened again. It may be a little callous, but I think seven dead children are prefrable to the hundreds more we may see if this isn't taken care of.

Yeah, the "OLDER" buses will probabally not go back to service in September. ie, KC and KR, I'd say the DVH's will get an Overhaul to accompany Children

ADO, you mean the non seat belt buses right?
BTW, I'd say feck lap belts anyway. There should be chest-strap belts fitted to all new buses, school or not.
And school ones that'll be around for anything longer that say, 6 months, should have them retro-fitted.
