I think it is a poor show for there to be no bus service between Rathmines and O'Connell St. I know I have not always been complimentary about our main thoroughfare, but the fact is that I work near the Spike and I often go to films and meetings around there, as do many others from my "hood. The 65/65B and 83 go from Rathmines across the river, but they are no use for O'Connell St, and I think I am correct in saying that Rathmines is the only major suburban bus corridor with no buses at all going up O'Connell St. My suggestion would be for the 14/14As to extend to Parnell Square.

Now now....None of this Walkin s**t.....Richard is quite correct and his needs should be met.
The biggest problem for Dublin Bus is not O Connell St itself which has plenty of space available, but the access streets which in the main are quagmires for the Bus Fleet.
Suffolk St,Georges St,Pearse St are all constipated and until they are addressed the wishes of folks like Richard shall be unaddressed .
Bring Back The Pillar I say !!!

Rathmines has one of the best bus services in the City, I think it averages out at a bus every 4 mins.
Both the 14 and 15 group leave you in Fleet Street, the 83 at O'Connell Bridge and the 65's leave you at Eden Quay.
I'd be grateful your bus dosen't have to run O'Connell Street, at least it has more chance of running on time by avoiding that mess!
