This bus is mentioned in the route 66 and 67/67A timetable, but not the 66B timetable, although it apparently traverses the whole route of the route 66B. In a bizarre twist, there are separate departures in the 66 and 67A timetables.
The trip in the 67A timetable departs the 67A terminus in Maynooth at 0525 on weekdays, operates along its usual route via Celbridge, but turns off this route at Young's Cross and operates via Barnhall, Castletown and Leixlip before continuing on to the city centre. The trip in the 66 timetable departs the 66 Straffan Road terminus on Sundays only at 0820, then operates via Celbridge, Young's Cross, Barnhall, Leixlip, but also includes a side-trip via Dodsborough, the route 25 terminus.
Now, in my view, these trips are really extensions of the route 66B since they operate via the whole 66B route for the most part—but are not mentioned at all in the route 66B timetable. Why would that be?
