yesterday(25-2-2005)when I was coming home from town ,I went up to the 120/121/122 bus stop in O`Connell Street, I seen a single decker at the stop and people get on, so i got on not bothering to look at the number as any of them would take me to Cabra.
All seemed fine until we went around by Mountjoy Street and I was wondering where it was going because Phibsboro single deckers hardly ever take that route, so i thought there was some divertions in place, until, we slowed down at Dowth Avenue and turned in!!
it made the turn perfectly because the lady driver on it is a regular on the 122 and is used to driving them, so she did it without any hassle,

so what i want to know
was that just a one-off operation or will we be seeing single deckers on the 120 again?

It's not unusual to see single deckers on this route, since the minibuses went it has been operated by almost anything. Even when the P's were being taken off the 39 they could be seen occasionally on the 120.
As for tight turns, i would assume most drivers would have no problem with the AD's - you should take a trip to the southside part of the 121 - some tight bends there too.

As far as i know AD's are not to operate the 120 because of the tight turns.. it's not set in stone, but as a rule No!. rh/ra/rv/av operated.

    AD11 you said rh/ra/rv/AV operated,

that is another thing with the 120,
how come we only see AV`s on at the weekend and never during the week although i did see AV192,342,374 on it last week but it is always RV350-353/408-411/446-449 on it!!

but the worst thing about it is that Phibsboro have 123 AV , yet AV buses are a luxury on the 120!

well the 120 is not a w/chair accessible route, and at the weekends I hear there are more AV's freely available.. and as for the RV's they are assigned to the route 120. so i,m reliably informed.
