Per this little blurb on DB's web site...the first two departures from Eden Quay will not serve Beaumont Hospital, so if you have to get to that hospital between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., either drive, walk, take a taxi, wait for the 0700 departure of the 51A, or catch the first 103 from Clontarf.
Now what was the true need for such a change?? DB has made a surplus for two years running, right? Not like they were losing buckets-full of money by stopping in at the hospital, eh? Why the big rush to get to Harristown via Kilmore and Castletimon?
What I find bizarre are the new extensions of the 42A and 42B to Beaumont Hospital. That implies that demand for bus service to the hospital is rather high versus low. The 27A was a good service into that hospital...but I suppose that fixing what isn't broken is DB's forté lately...

20B via beaumont hosp 6.15 & 6.45.
27B 6.55 7.15 & 8.15.
42A 8.00
51A 7.00 & 8.15
8 departures each morning as well as 103 so no panic and no need for taxis or walking. Just a bit of research.

I think you'll find Al that these two buses do not go to Harristown but actually only to the M1 Flyover at Coolock Lane having gone via Clonshaugh Industrial Estate.
Given that these are the only buses to go into that Industrial Estate from City Centre that could possibly be a clue as to why they have been re-routed to bypass the hospital? I would suspect that the majority of the users of these services are going to Clonshaugh.
