What's the point? The "timetables" only tell you what time the bus supposedly left the terminus which, in all probability, is about 5 miles from your house. Impossible to calculate at what time it might appear at your stop, especially given the fact that it probably left the terminus late anyway...! The best bet is to stand at the bus-stop and pray...

That's been my experience...back 20 years ago in Leixlip, it was pot luck trying to figure when the bus would finally show up from Maynooth.
I doubt that Dublin Bus would ever get organised to the point of offering timetables like in the examples below, from New Jersey Transit...? With these routes, the drivers get in trouble if they leave the listed departure points early...

I live in New Jersey, and I agree that this service is excellent. The buses and trains are clean and well kept and come on time, and the drivers are always very pleasant and helpful. I think the main problem is that Dublin bus is never going to get to this point because Irish people complain about it but never really do anything about it. It's that "ah, shur, that's the way it is" attitude. DO something about it rather than just complaining.

It's absolutely near IMPOSSIBLE to do anything about the state of our public transport system - unless of course you're taoiseach - and by then you'd have your own merc so ya wouldnt bother! Anyway to you, I'd have to say that it's easier said than done. And it IS easy for you to say it while sitting comfy on your state of the art "always-runs-on-time" bus. I've tried numerous times to "do something" but Dublin Bus never responded. And anyway, money for these sorta projects on the public transport system doesnt just pop out of thin air!!

I have seen it all now. There is a timetable carousel with the route 16 timetable departures from SANTRY just two stops away from the Grange Road terminus! OK, hands up who can accurately predict what time the bus will arrive at that bus stop from Santry???!!
