I have become heartily sick of the futility of e-mailing complaints to Dublin Bus. Therefore I have started CC'ing all complaints to as many internal management figures as possible. I browse a search engine for as many addresses as I can find and include them in all communications. I have only recently started but will happily post all valid e-mail addresses if anyone is interested. I look forward to hearing from you all on this topic. Thank you.

If the service isnt to a person's liking, why don't they find another way of traveling,ie.... use the car and negotiate the traffic themselves,a motorbike, cycle, handglide, swim up the liffey, walk, jog, get a jockey back.....Whatever the hell they want to do....Just do it,piss off, and find something else to complain about/someone else to complain to

Go Sharp and sandy, this is a busrage page, so I can't see why you are surprised that someone wants to complain about the bus service. So well done yelruf. You 2 should be the one taking the walk.

Yelruf I think it's bizarre that GO SHARP and Sandy have reacted to your great idea in the way they have.

    Just Bizarre

Let me make myself clear, if the intelligentsia accede to the influence of the proletariat and for that matter the bourgeoisie we will be left with a cornucopia of conundrums that will lead to procrastination on all sides, and the resultant deliberations will be a farce!

You know, I'm sick and tired of listening to f**king whingers complaining about Dublin's bus service. Yes, there are problems, but almost every single one of them is as a result of Dublin's pathetic infrastructure and NOT the fault of Dublin Bus.

Another thing - most of the people who complain are arrogant tossers who love the sound of their own voices. They actively seek things to complain about, just for the purpose of exercising their already-overused vocal chords. Yesterday for instance, while I was driving through Bray (running late because of school-time traffic), I had a passenger tear the bollocks off me because he was late for work. I calmly and rationally explained that I was late because of poorly parked Renault Espaces and Land Rover Freelanders, blocking the roads outside every school I'd passed, expecting him to accept that and sit down, like a good little passenger. Oh no, this particular little bespectacled bollock juggler told me "that's not my problem! You have a duty to turn up on time, etc, etc. I pay your wages". At this point, I became slightly frustrated, gave him my staff number and the number of head-office, in the hope that he would piss off and complain to somebody who actually gives a damn. For added measure, I also told him to ring 1850 715 815, and talk to Joe.

Spot on, and that's why people get frustrated when they ring Dublin Bus to complain about the service. Because there's nothing Dublin Bus can do about gridlock.

You have my deepest sympathy as I know you have one of the most s**t jobs in Dublin. I wouldn't drive a Bus if I my f**king life depended on it. The problem is that you are someone there, someone the passengers can direct their anger against. For that I apologise, the problem (in most cases) lies with Dublin Bus and not you unfortunate f**ks. How about next time get caught behind some Yuppie Mummy dropping off the "Kid" to School in her badly parked people Carrier you complain anonymously to Dublin Bus ! You are the one's who see this s**t, you are the one's who get the abuse off passengers, you are the one's getting a bleeding ulcer ! Passengers and drivers are all in this mess together so make your voices heard. I'm not a f**king whinger, I really hate the sound of my own voice, but I hate a Bus just not turning up more. When a Driver doesn't turn in he (or she) probably gets a bollocking from their Boss, my f**ker carves me a new arsehole when I'm late. By the way there's something I've always wondered, how do most Bus drivers get to work, car or Bus ? Cheers Mate and glad to see someone from the company actually reads the entries on this site (if your Boss's did we might not need it).

OK Yelruf, I get it that you have a fixation with complaining to Dublin Bus, but unfortunately they are not allowed to clamp cars.

Sandy, I wouldn't say a fixation (and I'm not an Accountant either). I live in a very isolated place and depend on Dublin Bus to get to and from work (new job as well). Often the Bus just doesn't turn up and when they do car drivers just thwart the drivers effort to get where they are going on time and safely. I think that public transport should have precedence over everything else on the road (except emergency vehicles, of course). Maybe Dublin Bus could could fit transport with a missile system, just blast dick-heads off the road and roll on through !

Yelruf - As a fellow passenger can I just apolgise for the tone of the messages posted here by sandy and Go SHARP - You have every right to complain as do I. Bus drivers HAVE the worst job in the city. Bring back the bus conductors!

I thought this was a site for bus passengers ... not a site for bus drivers to diminish people who WANT a better service (having lived and worked in London and visited paris and New York often I LOVE good public transport)

So to hell with the rather odd drivers who spend their working day in front of a wheel and then log on here for some more work related hassle

    HELLO

    And post those addresses please

and as regards foreigners - they at least behave themselves - not like the Dublin working class teenagers who run amok on buses. Ban the Irish louts - that would be a good start. Then maybe the middle classes would again consider using the buses and leave their cars at home and the problem would begin to sort itself out.

    I AM THE PASSENGER.
    AND I PAY YOUR WAGES.

maybe the passengers AND bus drivers (who have common interest in maintaining and improving a QUALITY state-owned bus service - comprendo?) could organise and campaing for expansion and against privatistaion.

Both groups have similiar vested interests

A quality, fast, publicily-owned mass transit service.
