Route 38

Does anybody know if the 38 bus is going to start going through Castlecurragh instead of the village. The Bus service is an absolute nightmare at the moment. Something needs to be done urgently. I would suggest having the 38 bus going through Castlecurragh and then to proceed to the Navan Road and By-pass Blanchardstown village altogether. That would be much better. At present it takes around 40-45 minutes to get from Ladyswell to Blanchardstown Village (which is absolute madness). Has anyone any ideas????

Hmmmm there is more than a hint of the O Connell St disease about what`s happenin out Blanch way.
Twould appear that both the Village and The Shoppin Centre simply MUST be traversed by every vehicle headed that way.
It does raise the somewhat interesting point of whether or not Dublin Bus has anybody attending to the business of Route Development on an individual case basis.
It also brings home the true nature of what the likes of Burke,Redmond and Lawlor managed to inflict on the scurrying masses unlucky enough not to have dail Privilege....

Stephan's suggestion for a 220a is an interesting proposal, thiugh probably impossible, on account of the "no new routes" restriction. Bloody Dept of Transport!!

whats the point in having a QBC when it takes the buses about an hour to get onto the QBC in the first place as the buses go through blanch and castleknock villages which are all gridlocked.
Buses should leave from each village i.e. mulhuddart, blanch etc and go onto the motorway straight away and head into town reducing the journey time by 30-50 mins.

    Well Said Mike,
Its the only way youll make it into town in an hour, as much as I like blanch the commute is making me consider moving. I talked to a guy from navan, he gets into town 30 minutes faster on bus eireann eh hellooo?

The best solution to the problem would be to have the route to go through the Phoenix Park and bypass the navan road and the boltleneck at the mater hospital.
