I was getting on the Number 16 on O'Connell St. today. I had raised my foot to enter the bus and no sooner was I an inch from the step but the driver looked at me and closed the door. I signalled I was getting on, but he just looked and drove off. There was no queue or rush, he could easily have re-opened the doors and let me on.
I often heard Dublin Bus Drivers were ignorant but on the whole my experiences were good. This goes to show there are some who just love ruining peoples days.
Thanks Dublin Bus, just goes to show that ou money is being spent wisely, in investing in drivers, some of which have the personality and friendliness of a barrel full of hungry cockroaches. (Sorry for any offence caused to cockroaches)
Thats my rant for today - I feel much better !

In a large company, such as BAC, you're bound to get a few wrong 'uns. You know what to do though... Make a formal complaint, preferably to Summerhill Garage. It's all well and good, whinging here, but the only way something can be done about these problems is to whinge (very vocally) in the right direction.

If making a complaint you may find it best to contact head office rather than the depot, previous tales of contacting garages are not too encouraging. Get it in writing to No.59!!!

Wow, how tough of "Barry". Would you like to be dropped into the middle of South Newark, New Jersey and yell that nasty bit of invective...?Posted 4 years ago #

On the 11, one of the city's finest services, I doubt it. Though some cheeky wreck of the head type tried to charge me the wrong fare, and had the cheek to demand five cent that was not owed! Those AWs promised still have'nt appeared though...Posted 4 years ago #

has anyone ever being on the 46A when it stops for a long period of time at donnybrook church. whats that about if the "take over" bus driver is late for his shift we are all late

Consider this Mrs Late. Driver takes a few minutes in town cos she/he`s handing over breaking or finished, gets a good run out as far as Donnybrook Church, now the bus is "up the field" could be as much as five minutes. Relief driver strolls out on time as per running board and is accused of being late !

the worst is when you get on a 13/a on o'connell st and then it stops for around 10mins at parnell sq for a driver change, meanwhile a 19a and 11 have just whizzed by! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
