Has anyone noticed the horrible man with the white moustache who drives the 15 and is an absolute wanker to everyone who gets on his bus? What really pissed me off is the day a fella got on with a huge harp and stood to protect the harp from anyone falling over it. The driver refused to move til your man sat down and started yelling at him that he had to sit fro the "safety and the protection of the passengers". The bus was nearly empty, there was no place to put the harp except in that buggy parking bit and even then it was in the way. Surely it was safer to have yer man stand next to it and ensure nobody tripped over it and sued Dublin Bus. And anyway, the bus is designed to have a certain amount of standing people, so he wasn't breaching anything. I was furious that the driver made this boy get off.
Other things this fella does are the usual like not stopping the bus if you say "next stop please" instead of ringing the bell and yelling at people to get off the bus if they have gone past their ticketted stop - I hope the prick is miserable for a reason! I tell you, next time I see him being horrible I'm getting his driver number and making a complaint cos he is one ignorant arsehole!

There is a particular driver marked in on the 84 route (I won't mention his name, but he's a tallish fella with greying hair and a moustache), who is probably the most ignorant man I have met in my entire life. There was one particular incident where a one-armed man (!) was unable to ring the bell and he refused to stop the bus for him. He clearly doesn't enjoy his job.

Dr. Kimball was chasing the one-armed man. And he rode a bus on the remake (w/Harrison Ford) while in the original series, he was on a train...
BTW, I recall that you didn't have to ring the bell in order to get the driver to stop; simply verbally calling out the words "Next Stop Please" got the bus stopped for you as well. Who's training these new drivers??Posted 4 years ago # -
If he's marked in Al he's far from new.
Just one of the many grumpy old todgers DB has on it's book's!

Sorry Al......But that is old hat now........It`s been replaced with ...."I wanted THAT stop"....usually said as the Bus passes it by at a steady clip-clop.......
I usually refer the respondent to the Luas which will stop at EVERY stop whether they want it or not.......There`s a lot to be said for Limited-Stop services....Posted 4 years ago #
