Route 7 to Cherrywood and Shankill as well as Loughlinstown Park??

    As announced by DB.

Now the route 7 has a bunch of infrequent alpha-suffixed routes, so how come none of them can be re-routed to handle the Cherrywood service...? What about the little-used 7A? Move that out of its current Mackintosh Park terminus and have it be the Cherrywood bus.

And what with the occasional Corbawn Lane service on the 7 now, will this spell the eventual withdrawal of infrequent route 46? (Wow, if that's the case, then they can get rid of the alpha suffix on the 46A eventually...) Hey, the 7 runs to Corbawn Lane on the weekends now too, something that the 46 no longer does...bizarre...

the 7 bus is one of the wonders of the world in all its crapness! have you ever seen the mystery 7's which now cruise around with no number or even the wrong number on them?? this bus route needs to be completely re stuctured, at the mo it seems like the 7 is doing the work of aroud 5 bus routes.

DB seems to never do things by halves; it's either too many buses serving one area or not enough. As for Cherrywood proper, don't know why there are any buses going in there at all, what with the 45 and 84 running past there frequently and on quicker corridors into Dublin. Oh well...

i suppose it would be to connect it with DunLaoghaire and the dart line, one hopes that if/when the luas gets as far a cherrywood it will then run up the middle of the dual carriage way in ballybrack and connect with the dart in dunlaoghaire instead of going out to bray/shankill this would improve transport in the whole DL/Rathdown area and connect Dunlaoghaire properly with all its industrial estates cherrywood and sandyford and with dundrum town etc. all which are practically impossible to get to from DL at the mo

why has the 111 not ben extended to cherrywood as well. Also would in not be better to route it via killiney, and dalkey instead of duplicating the 7?

i am sick of having to wait ages for a bus because there are 2 buses that go up to loughlinstown and they are redirecting the both of them to cherrywood and shankill and there will be no buses from loughlinstown in the morning. to be honest i think that this is just stupid!!!!! how the hell am i gonna get the bus in the morning???? i will now have to go to cherrywood to get my own bus. and even though i am getting them at the moment they are a load of crap. i waited 2 hours for a bus once in the space of time that at least 5 buses were supposed to have gone from the lough and this was on a friday!!!!!!!
