    Hello,
I am looking for an advice. My colleauge at work will come to Dublin for a business trip and she will stay at the Green Isle Hotel, Naas Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. She would like to know the number of bus she can go by there from the airport or to the city center from the airport and consequently from the city centre to the hotel, its timetable, the bus fare, and where the bus tickets can be bought(shops, newspaper tobacconist etc...). She would also like to have a map of Dublin (not only of the city centre). Could you give me an advice, please? Thank you very much. Please reply as soon as possible, she is going there tomorrow. Thank you very much.

  2. You can get either a number 746, 747 or 748 from the airport into the city centre. Tickets can be bought on board (exact change only). the fare on the 746 is £1.15, the fare on the 747 or 748 is £3.50 .

I'd recommend getting the 748, because you can get that to Aston Quay (ask the driver to let you know when you get there). From Aston Quay you can get the bus to Clondalkin. Buses from Aston Quay to Clondalkin (where the hotel is) are: 51b, 68 or 69. The fare is £1.15 and tickets are bought on board (exact change only).

Timetables for all of the above are available on this website, just click on the timetables link.

Maps of Dublin can be bought at the airport, at a shop called Carrolls on Aston Quay, or in several shops around that part of town. Ask any dubliner if you are unsure as we generally like to help visitors to our city.

The 51 USED TO have frequent service past the Green Isle Hotel...of course, good old Dublin Bus decided that (a) it should no longer run out of the city centre and (b) it should only run once every hour (or less frequent) between the hours of 9 a.m and 6 p.m. (or something like that). :-(
