Has anybody else here ever been as pissed off as I have been when being forced to use buses due to trains being cancelled?
Even though CIE are supposed to be one company, if the trains break down, bus drivers will not accept train tickets and vice versa. But why can CIE not agree an internal ticketing system? Apparently there is a 5 year plan to INVESTIGATE a system for the future, but CIE cannot even agree amongst its own companies?

Aren't they still trying to break up CIE...? If so, then instituting unified ticketing will only create more overhead and make any perceived savings from CIE's demise rapidly disappear.
Rest assured, things are going to get a lot worse before anyone makes real moves to make them better. And don't you know that you are looked down upon if you do not have an automobile in your possession...? >:-(Posted 6 years ago #
