Does anyone know if plans exist to connect stops near the Southern end of tha Luas Sandyford line with corresponding DART stops? I am particularly thinking of a possible link from Sandyford to Shankill or Bray

There's already a bus route 114 which runs from Kilcross via Sandyford Industrial Estate to Blackrock DART.

Route 17 will link Blackrock DART with the Dundrum station (or should). More interestingly, route 18 appears that it will link Sandymount DART station with Ranelagh station on Line B and Kylemore station on Line A. Both of these bus routes are long-established.

As for a link between Sandyford and Bray, that existed before CIE closed the Harcourt Street Line, of course (on which most of Line B runs). If anything, Line B ought to be re-extended to Shankill at the very least so that passengers can at least transfer at the existing Shankill station, that being JMHO.

Interconnector train? Too much money, didn't you know. And you could be waiting for trains that may never arrive also, don't forget that.

The way the government thinks is the same way the USA used to think fifty years ago, that the private transportation would replace the public one.

And besides, existing bus routes were pointed out thus far in this thread...and what with Luas coming on-line, it will mean less buses for some areas.
