Every morning my bus driver read the "Star" whilst driving the (jammed) bus into town during rush hour.
I've written down all the details I could.. bus registration number, number of the ticket reader, and the AV number from beside the downstairs camera.
I want to make a complaint... any ideas who exactly it should be addressed to?

Reading newspaper while driving bus

Head office. You'll find their number in the phone book. Presumably, the bus was stuck in traffic when he was reading the paper? I'd find it very hard to believe that anyone could be stupid enough drive a bus while reading a newspaper. Although he was reading The Star, so maybe that says enough about his intelligence.

Wouldn't be much to read in The Star. It might even be safer to read The Star than to use a mobile phone. I've seen bus drivers doing that, but I never took down the details.Posted 4 years ago #

I wonder was the driver given the paper by one of his passengers ?
I am constantly beset by well-meaning passengers dropping in Stars,Suns,Indo`s and even the occasional Guardian (HN`s Preference ?).
However since most of these passengers are well intentioned and humane enough to even nod in my direction then I accept with a thank you.Perhaps in HN`s case it would be better to sit upstairs or move to the rear of the lower saloon...?Posted 4 years ago # -
I can understand them reading the news paper while the bus is stuck in traffic during rush hour because God only knows (+bus drivers themselves) how bad it is to do a job that results in you driving all day, I mean imagine how stressful that it, I can barely put up with it for the duration it takes for me to get into town on the 39. But one thing I really cant stand is when bus drivers use their mobiles while driving. Its not as if its just them on the bus, some of the buses can carry more then 70 people!

Agreed, next time your driver does it take the bus number and his driver number if he'll give it and report him. This behaviour is not acceptable and reflect's badly on the rest of us.
