Can anyone supply an e-mail address in the Department of Transport where we could send positive contributions?

I find writing letters is very satisfying - it shows you've put effort into the correspondance and you generally force the recipient to do the same.

    http://www.transport.ie/
    says you can email info@transport.ie.
The postal address is there too.

I've emailed them on a few occasions with general queries but never got a response.

  4. We wrote to them via email some time ago, and got a response (many weeks later). The response basically said, "we'll get back to you".

    They never did. Shock horror.

We are in the process of putting together a page with all relevent contact details all in one place, and will post here when it's up on the site.

As Damien alludes to , above, it can be quite satisfying writing a letter. A traditional "snail-mail" letter usually yields a faster response, when dealing with government bodies, than an email. So much for e-Government!
