Page on DB web site here.
The way things are set up now, Cardiffsbridge Road has three discrete routes operating on it now from the city centre. The most distinct change seems to be that the 40A has been completely removed from its traditional Cappagh Road/Cappagh Hospital running, having the 40D take over that, including DB increasing the frequency of the 40D (which seems to say that the 38C will be a secondary Tyrrelstown service now).
The 40A doesnt even operate via Dunsink Avenue anymore, instead running via the old QBC route 40 route via Farnham Drive and Saint Helena Road. The 40C does not even operate via Deanstown Road or Ratoath Road anymore either, instead following the 40Ds routing up Cardiffsbridge Road. Both the 40A and 40C mirror the 40 routing via Kildonan Road, Barry Road and Plunkett AvenueI know that the 40A was using this routing for a while now, but the 40C was not, not to mention that this routing was originally uniquely that of route 40. Details appear on this map on the linked page.
If there are any regular users of these routes, I just wanted to know if they found the new configurations confusing, better than in the past, or any opinion indeed. (BTW, there are no changes to route 40B that I saw.)
