I am working on a bus timetable app for Palm OS. It'll be freeware.
Screenshots from the Palm Simulator are at:
http://www.geocities.com/daymobrew/bussched/bussched.html
I'd love if some people could test the app. I've only got part of the Blanchardstown area routes entered but they should be enough to test if and give me feedback.
Please email me if you are interested in helping out. The plan is to make it available on this site, web master permission permitting of course.
On a similar topic, I entered the Longford/Maynooth/Dublin train timetable for a TrainSched app written by a French guy. My code is heavily influenced/copied from his app. I can provide this database and app to any interested parties.

I finished the app in December and it has been tested in on OS 3.5 through 5.0.
I only have a database with some of the Blanchardstown routes. I've not had any demand for the app let alone for other databases.
I also recently updated TrainSched (written by someone else) to display 3 columns (dep time, arr time and abbreviation e.g. EWD, MO etc) instead of the original 2 columns. Hopefully the author will add my changes and publish a new version. I have it in the meantime and I will put a screenshot of it on the above site when I get time.Posted 6 years ago # -
Hey, nice to read you, Damien!
I'm looking for 25, 25A, 25X, 66, 66A, 66B, 66X, 67, 67A, 67X, 13B, 14, 14A, 15, 15A, 15B, 15C, 83.
That would be great if you can get them for me.
Regards.

I've compiled a database with all the requested routes except the 15s. I'd email it to the vodafone address given but I'm concerned it might be a phone and might be problematic to download.
I wrote a perl script to parse the 37 timetable. I had to modify it a decent bit to parse the others (though it breaks down on 'X' routes).
I hadn't realised how differently formatted each timetable is, there is *NO* consistency at all.
If you want to type out the 15s timetables (you'll see the format on my website) I'll compile them for you.
As I get time I will put some other routes on my web site. Obviously if people request certain routes I'll do those first.
Finally, if there are visitors who have a Pocket PC and would like this app, let me know and I'll look into porting it to that platform.Posted 6 years ago # -
The vodafone email if fine, I use tcd network to read it. So there is no problem with downloading any files you can send me.
Could you tell me how to write txt file with timetable for database (I mean is there any perticular rules for it).
And I can offer you my help with creating databases for palm.
Let me know if you need it.Posted 6 years ago # -

I am nearly finished work on porting by bus timetable app from Palm OS to Pocket PC. I am also working on a Windows desktop version but I'm not sure how useful this will be unless you are carrying your laptop around with you.
If anyone has a Pocket PC and would be able to give the app a little test I would love to hear from them. As I don't have a Pocket PC (only a Palm), I am using the emulator.Posted 5 years ago # -

Bus numbers 4, 5, 7, 7A & 8 all serve St. Vincents Hospital frequently and can be boarded at Clerys in O'Connell Street.
In addition route 45 operates from Burgh Quay and Trinity College.
A single trip to St. Vincents costs E1.35

Please remove my name from your data as I only called for bus time to St. Vincent hospital for test. I do not think you need to have my name printed.
I'm requesting that you remove right away. I am returning to my country by the end of the month
Thank you.
