Is there anyone on here who has used these bus services, i.e. anyone more coherent than “alan” who has just posted some comments about them on the negative side of things?

Just judging by most of their timetables, it seems to me that they themselves wish to operate mostly profitable routes and thus keep their dependence on government assistance to a bare minimum.

I noted on AMC’s home page some comments about Dublin Bus “putting pressure” on them to reduce operations on their bus route serving Ballycoolin Estate. If AMC takes this to the EU, then things could get ugly.

Any other reviews on this bus company?

Those comments on the AMC website are a bit weird, what kind of pressure are Dublin Bus putting on them? They don't give any details, I've dropped them a note, maybe we'll get an answer.

Haven't used their service myself, anyone else here had the pleasure?

Well, AMC still haven't replied to my email, and it's been just over 24 hours. If this is the kind of customer service we can come to expect from the "privateers" I won't be holding my breath.

After all, DB may do a lot of things wrong, but they always reply to their email.

Sounds like a fly-by-night operation. Plenty of others out there ready to take their place. With private companies, sometimes it gets rather dizzying as to how rapidly routes change hands…prepare for a roller-coaster ride, of sorts.

The **`s may well conceal speechlessnes as every time I see AMC`s 99 D Dennis double decker it appears to have lost another part of its superstructure.....
The sight of some of the ex South Yorks Leyland DAB artics finally venturing onto the open road after several years storage adjacent to Eirebus`s premises in Blanch also sends shivers along my vertebrae....These devices date from the early eighties and are a somewhat fearsome example of just how wrong the Late Lamented Leyland Motors Limited could get things....!
I understand that AMC are planning to paint these devices and send them abroad into the deper reaches of Tyrellstown...no doubt to operate with minimum Govt subvention.....The future of Public Transport In Ireland....????
    Futuristic indeed.....God help Blanch !!!

I have used AMC buses and I will tell you that they can be unreliable, uncomfortable and overcrowded. Parkwest has used a cheap bus service and so we are forced to use the bus.

    All the best.
