No, D42C is a muffinmaker, in a coffee shop! He;s quite content with his job and doesnt see himself moving into the decision making business untill he leaves college.

Anything else you would like to know?

Less direct way to reach Ballinteer Road; forced transfer for passengers headed up Dundrum Road towards Milltown and Ranelagh (44 gets overloaded, since the 48A served as a Dundrum local bus in addition to going to Balinteer); fewer bus trips overall on Dundrum Road (Luas is no help for that corridor). Not to mention a greater burden on the 14 and 14A, not to mention the 75, from Broadford Park to Dundrum Road.

Extending the 14 and 14A to the Dundrum Luas was a grave error in and of itself. Note the lack of positive anecdotes, on this thread and others—to wit, that reliability has been ill-affected, never mind the low frequency. Removing the 48A will aggravate this problem even further, since passengers who would have otherwise used the 48A on Ballinteer Road will now be forced to use the sparse 14/14A trips.

Is D42C a decision-maker at Dublin Bus? No vindication of DB's errors will be found here, sorry. Have a lovely day.

Ive used the 14/14A quite a bit and never had a problem with them.

Last week at about 9.30am, think it was a thursday there were at least 3 14A's and a 14 at Dundrum.

[posted by: D42C]

These buses are rarely full.

serious, i don't think i've ever had to leave people at a bus stop on this route.
[posted by: Does it matter]

When the 48a is finally put into history SOON, you may get the other two buses.
Broadstones stock is mostly reserved for the two new routes.

maybe if db had more buses and drivers then there may be more buses on route.there are numerous brand new ax buses lying dormant up in broadstone, they dont have ticket machines for them.once that gets rectified, and the 300 new drivers that they looking for happens then maybe the running bill will change.thats a big if
