What this Directive does is guarantee your present working conditions for one year and after that everything is open for re-negotiation.This is a nightmare situation for any Driver to find himself in.EEC Directive 2002/15 (working time directive) allows you to work for only 48 hours a week, but how you work them will be decided by your new employer.It would not be in contravention of any European or Irish health and safety laws.If you would like to read these Directives,just post another message.<br/><em>[posted by: concerned]</em> http://busrage.com/forum/topic/1169#post-1169 Tue, 15 Jul 2003 14:31:12 +0000 tlmk 1169@http://busrage.com/forum/ just a thought, chances are that drivers being transfered to a private operator will find themselves working longer shifts, split shifts,shorter breaks, lower wages and a general drop in work conditions. would this be in contravention of eu health & safety regulations?
