Hi all.
This morning i was getting on a 145 in stillorgan. The bus in question didnt even have 1 person standing up. I was just about to enter my ticket into the machine when the bus driver started screaming and i quote "get off the bus, get off the bus" "we are full!!! I said GET OFF". (There was only me left to get on-how much space can one person take up?)At half eight in the morning tell me who could put up with that.
I am a regular user of the 145 because i live out in the shankill areabut i was discusted to be treated in such a manner.
I burst out crying ( i know it sounds sad but i was that enraged that i had be treated so badly when there was plently of standing place (and even a few spare seats).
My boyfriend who i had intendind on meeting on the bus informed me that the bus driver did not stop at stops where people had their hands out.
He asked for the bus drivers name but he refused to give it. Should there not be a regulation in place that informs dublin bus users of who is in charge of their safety. The current situation is resulting in bus drivers feeling that they are untouchable and that they can treat people badly.
Can this situation be resolved please Dublin Bus- a formal letter of complaint is on its way.
Have many other people had similar experiences?

Thanks to the incompetence of Dublin Bus my son was late for his first full day at secondary school. The no. 8 bus had not arrived within 20 minutes of his scheduled time. So eventually we had to drive him. So much from for the sanctimonious humbug from politicians about kids being driven to school. Parents drive them because they want them to receive an education.
Why no bus? The controller in Donnybrook said many drivers had failed to turn up today.
So it's back in the car for us.
We should acknowledge that we cannot run a public transport system, and simply ask the Swedes or the Dutch to do it.

Today the 9th of March I saw a girl being refused on the 14.00 39 bus in Blanch village because she wouldn't fold up a pram with an 11 week old baby in it even though they are buggy accessible buses. The bd swore at her for absolutely no reason and then threw her off the bus because she questioned him as to how she uses that bus everyday day but is allowed on everytime. Worst of all he cursed at an old woman who was trying to help and then proceeded to drive alongside this girl that he threw off the bus and swore out the door at her whilst beeping the horn a her all the way up the clonsilla road heading for the SC. This poor girl was in tears at this guy. When pressed by other passengers he admitted he was from Phibsoro garage but wouldn't give his name. He looks Irish but had an eastern european accent. If any other driver knows who this guy is someone should give him a good ass kicking for giving you all a bad name....

I often need to get off the 14A on Upper Rathmines Road, Southbound. There is a perfectly good stop just above the junction with Church Ave, but because some buses are now serving Palmerston Road, a second stop has been put in just below that junction. The upper stop is nearer where I am going, but drivers have invariably been stopping at the lower stop whether or not they are going to Palmerston. A couple of drivers have been shirty with me when, after they halted at the lower stop I asked them go on and drop me at the upper stop, one even saying I should only have pushed the bell in the 5-second interval between the 2 stops. This whole situation is very silly, and I think that DB might as well take away the upper stop and be done with it.
