Route 8 Scrapped

In what must be one of the strangest moves by Dublin Bus in recent times, many residents of Dalkey and elsewhere have been left without a bus route to take them where they want to go.

New QBCs in operation.

Most of these are for travel into town only, but will mean shorter journey times for people taking the bus. There is still no word if QBCs or Bus Lanes will be eventually turned into car-pool lanes, as some politicians would like to see.

Nitelink changes

Apart from the new 25N Nitelink Service, the following changes have come into force:
The 66N: This route still departs from Westmoreland Street but now operates
via St. John’s Road to Palmerstown, Lucan Village and terminates in Leixlip. This route
no longer serves Chapelizod, which is covered by the new 25N.

New Bus Termini, Routes & Timetables.

Due to work on the LUAS a number of bus routes have had their City Centre termini
relocated. The bus routes affected and new termini are as follows:
Routes 25, 25A, 26, 66, 66A, 66B, 67 and 67A will terminate and
depart from Wellington Quay (on the South Quays between the Ha’penny
Bridge and the new Millenium Bridge).
